For Entrepreneurs:
Many entrepreneurs reach out to SoftTech VC for investment pitches, advice, feedback and we are grateful for the interest and attention. Genuinely. Unfortunately it is sometimes tough to respond in a timely fashion to all these emails, so 1) apologies for delays (or lack of answers) and 2) we will always recommend asking from mutual connections to make a personal introduction (THE #1 step in our investment process). Also feel free to introduce yourself at a conference or one of the many events we attend – here is our conference “mobbing” etiquette.
To reach us for an investment pitch, it is best to use a trusted referral (as mentioned above) but you can submit an application here, and make sure to upload an executive summary or investor presentation that tells us about you and your team, your product, your targeted market and audience. Also, feel free to send a link to closed alpha or beta versions so that we can take a brief look at applications. The goal in taking a cursory look upfront is to make sure we don’t waste your time inviting you for a meeting, and realize after 10 or 15 minutes that we are not the right firm for you.
Oh, and we never sign NDAs to have an initial meeting with a company. Ever. If this ever takes place (and it never does), it would be much further into the due diligence process. Please do take the time to review our investment strategy, our process, and the kinds of companies we have invested in the past to make sure we don’t have anything competitive with your concept already in the portfolio.
For the Press, Bloggers and Conference Organizers:
Please feel free to send us email questions, interview requests and speaking opportunities at using the contact form below. We’ll get back to you as quickly as possible, especially if you tell us your deadline. Time permitting, we always are delighted to speak at events or conferences, as a keynote, panelist or moderator. We enjoy the opportunity to have interesting conversations and meet new people. Conferences that require air travel and local accommodations will be asked to cover these costs including business airfare.
